ARLINGTON -- Betty Jeanne McNutt, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, surrounded by her devoted family. Funeral: The celebration of Betty's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Lake Arlington Baptist Church, 2912 Little Road, Arlington. Visitation: The family will welcome friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Graveside Services: will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2015, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane C. Memorials: The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a desired charity of choice. Betty was born in Riverside, CA on August 20, 1931. She was the youngest child of the late Charles and Irene Gamel. Betty devoted her life to her family and was a true Christian example to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, devotion, caring, and selfless service will be carried out through her children and grandchildren. We lost our angel, a most gentle, kind and loving soul. Sparkling eyes and a contagious and generous heart describes Betty McNutt. With heavy hearts we let her go, but with joy in knowing she is celebrating in Heaven. A life well lived, good and faithful servant. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Kaylor, and her son-in-law, James Curtis. Survivors: Husband, Kenneth; son, Shawn McNutt and wife, Barbie; daughters, Judy Burcie and husband, Mike, Sandy McNutt, Pam McNutt, Diane McComb and husband, Mike, Jacque Curtis Redmon and husband, Jay, Janette Yetter and husband, Gene.
