ARLINGTON -- Dr. Betty "Cat" Lowe Johnson, 77, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, in Fort Worth.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Cat was born July 1, 1938, in Sulphur Springs to Alex Lowe and Jeffie Ford Lowe. She graduated from Douglas High School and Prairie View A&M, class of 1959. She was a retired elementary school principal and professor at Illinois State University. Cat had resided in Arlington for the past 16 years and was a member of Forest Hill Church of Christ.
She was a longtime tennis player and enjoyed fishing. Cat enjoyed singing at church and at home. She loved her family and friends.
Survivors: Husband of 10 years, Roy Dell Johnson; son, Wynter Sibley; daughter, Heather Sibley; stepchildren, Karen Johnson, Sonya Williams and Roy Dell Johnson Jr.; sister, Ollie Montgomery; grandson, Kelly Ales; and a host of relatives and friends.
