Betty Darline Powers, 55, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Hawkins Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 6, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Betty was born on April 3, 1962 in Beaumont, Texas to Robert Lavale Powers and Valerie Helen Leger. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Vidor, Texas where she was baptized. A resident of Arlington for the past 20 years, she was a homemaker and waitress. She helped and served many over the years. Survivors: Mother, Helen Maidhof and step-father, Pop Louis Maidhof; sons, Kim Curtis Trussell II, Robert Dewayne Trussell, Michael David Trussell and Brandon Valcan Trussell; brother, Lee Jay Powers and wife, Laura; uncle, John Powers; longtime friend and companion, Harry Clyde Farris III; grandchildren, Tosha, Destiney, Brittany, Paige, Michael Joey, Michael Lee, Darline Madison and Carissa; and great-grandchildren, Caiden, Cayson and Avery.
