Our Mother Betty Charline Chancellor entered into rest Friday October 7, 2022 after a long and full life.

Betty was born November 21, 1928 and raised in Goodman Missouri where she was the youngest of 3 girls. She enjoyed life in a small town with her friends and family. She married James Leonard Chancellor, also of Goodman MO, and together they had 5 children. Jim’s work took them to many great cities and family adventures. After retirement she and Jim settled into retirement in the Florida panhandle and North Carolina. Betty loved flowers and was the President of the local flower club in Florida where Jim supported her in this passion. After her husband’s passing, she lived at home with her Texas family while traveling and visiting her other children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother Charles W and Fannie (Noel) Williams, Sister Mariellen Williams Prickett, Sister Mildred Williams Greig, Daughter Janice Sue Chancellor, and her husband of 61 years James L Chancellor.

She is survived by
Children: Charles Chapman Chancellor and his wife Beverly, Lynda Chancellor Smith and her husband Vernon, James Leonard Chancellor Jr and his wife Judy, Cindy Chancellor Dyer and her husband Malcolm.

Grandchildren: Michael Chapman Smith, Charles Chapman Chancellor Jr., Bryan Scott Smith, Wesley Scott Chancellor, Stephanie Ann Chancellor, Andrew James Chancellor, Emma Chancellor Dyer, Ethan James Dyer.

Great grandchildren: Ava Dawn Chancellor, Avery Morgan Smith, Wyatt Chapman Smith, Evelyn Jean Chancellor, Cree Christina Chancellor

Her brother-in-law Arthur Chancellor and sister-in-law Pat Upchurch and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life Service will be held October 20, 2022 at 4:00pm at First United Methodist Church Richardson, 503 N US 75-Central Expressway, Richardson TX 75080.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Heart Association (click here to donate) or the American Diabetes Association (click here to donate).
