Betty Ann Briggs

November 7, 1939 — February 6, 2021

Betty Ann Briggs went to be with her savior on February 6, 2021.  She was born on November 7, 1939 in McKinney, Texas, and lived a full and meaningful live. She loved God and sought to honor Him by finding ways to better the lives of those around her including attending and serving at her parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, loving on, praying for and providing wisdom to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and of course, her dogs, and being a wonderful and loyal friend. Throughout her life, she enjoyed working in the fashion industry for decades, earning a business degree online, learning Spanish, traveling, especially to Mexico (earning her the affectionate nickname, “Nana Dos,” from her great grandkids) and finding great deals while shopping or just having fun with friends and family. She never missed an opportunity to cheer someone up or encourage them. Betty was an avid learner, always challenging herself to learn something new to further her knowledge.  She overcame countless challenges in life, but through faith and fierce determination, she persevered with grace and tremendous courage...all while wearing the most seasonably appropriate outfit with coordinating accessories...which she no doubt victoriously found on sale. She will be greatly missed, but her vibrant and cheerful personality will be remembered and will continue to bless the lives of all those she touched while on this earth.

Betty was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jack, of 38 years, and survived by her daughter, Debbie Ewing and her husband, Dave, her son, Jimmy Murphy and his wife, Rhonda, and her daughter, Carol Garner. Grandchildren: Jessica, Jacob, Jerald, Miranda, Jennifer and Christi. Great Grandchildren: Colten, Alex, Wyatt, Easten, Benjamin, Hunter, Jordan, Jolene, Ruby, and Elizabeth.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX. Wade Family Funeral Home (817) 274-9233
