Benton Allen Gist, 55, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 in Arlington.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Benton was born on September 13, 1961 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Bill Allen Gist and Jane Ann Williams Gist. He graduated from Lamar High School, Class of 1980 and Remington College where he earned his bachelors degree in computer science in 2014.
Benton was a godly man and loved the Lord with all of his heart! He was an avid Texas Rangers fan! His girls and grandkids were his pride and joy! Benton has always had a passion for music and was a very talented guitar player. His favorite bands included Journey, KISS, heavy metal and contemporary Christian music. People have often mistaken him for Gene Simmons (which he absolutely loved)! He loved to do weekend projects with his wife Adina.
Survivors: Wife, Adina Lynn Rumley Gist; daughters, Hollie Ann Gist, Teresa Lynn Gist and husband, Moises Lopez; step-daughters, Brittany Ellen Burson, Kristin Morales and Tiffany Conrad; father, Bill Gist and wife, Carol; mother, Jane Gist; brother, Michael Gist; sisters, Teri Granado and Stacey Wilson; and grandchildren, Alexis Emery, Summer Harris, Michael Lopez, Aaron Lopez, Jackson Emerine, Emma Conrad and Eiden Conrad.
