Benjamin "Ben" George Crocker

ARLINGTON -- Ben G. Crocker, a native of Louisiana, died at 85, Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Arlington. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, 76013, the Rev. Linden Damschroder and the Rev. Miriam Georg officiating. The family will greet guests in the Great Hall prior to the service. Interment: will be held at a later date in Louisiana. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Ben requested that gifts in his memory be made to the Methodist Children's Home, 1111 Herring Ave., Waco, Texas 76708; H.O.P.E. Farm, Inc., 865 E. Ramsey Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76104 or a charity of your choice. The family extends a special thank-you to Community Hospice of Texas and staff members, Theresa, Michelle, Shawna and Gloria, who tenderly and compassionately cared for Ben in the final weeks of his life. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and his first wife, Oma. Survivors: Wife, Ann; brothers, Kerry, Jerry and wife, Katherine, and Larry; his sons, Rush and wife, Beverly, and Steve; his grandchildren, Benjamin and wife, Sarah, and Brittany; his stepchildren, Charlie and wife, Janice, Suzie and husband, Steve, and their children, Chuck and Steve; and numerous nieces and nephews.
