Baylor Gene Brown Sr., a beloved husband, father, teacher, and coach, passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born on January 10, 1961, in Arlington, Texas.
Baylor dedicated his life to supporting and guiding others. As a coach for the Arlington Independent School District (AISD), he positively impacted countless students’ lives over his 38-year career, instilling in them not only the skills of the game but also the values of perseverance, respect, and teamwork. Many of his former students and athletes fondly remember him as a mentor and a friend.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Baylor was known for his unwavering honesty, strong work ethic, and compassionate nature. He possessed a genuine concern for others and was always willing to lend an ear or offer advice when needed. His selflessness and thoughtfulness endeared him to all those fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patty Brown; father-in-law, Glendon Rose and brother-in-law, Jack Morris.
Baylor is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Brown; father, James L. Brown Jr.; son, Baylor Brown Jr. and fianceé Victoria Jimenez; daughter, Lindsey Anderson (Josh); brother, Mike Brown (Diane); sisters, Kathy Morris and Debbie Rigdon; grandchildren, Jane and Elizabeth; mother-in-law, Marie Rose;
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 6-8pm at Wade Family Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10am at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas.
