Barbara J. Naegelin Marcantel

ARLINGTON -- Barbara J. Naegelin Marcantel, 75, passed away at her daughter's home on Friday, May 15, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Barbara was born Aug. 8, 1939, in San Antonio, the third child of the late Lewis Naegelin and Beulah Hale Naegelin. She retired from Braniff Airways after 30 years of service, with flying colors. Barbara loved to cook and shop and was the life of a party. She was a longtime member of Meadow Lane Baptist Church in Arlington. She cherished her family, friends and church family and will be sadly missed by all of them. Barbara was preceded in death by an infant brother, Vern Allen Naegelin. Survivors: Daughter, Jennifer Lynn Marcantel; sons, Jeffrey Lewis Marcantel and wife, Jessica, and Jason Lee Marcantel and wife, Kristy; brother, Gene Naegelin and wife, Evelyn; grandchildren, Preston, Giana and Madelynn Marcantel; and nieces, Wendy Schmitt (Mike) and Jodie Goodwin (Vaughn).
