Ashley Zemanek, 52, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Worth on September 13, 2024.
Born on October 22, 1971, in Fort Worth, she was the beloved daughter of Roger Course and Linda Hartsfield.Ashley graduated from Lamar High School, where she was a cheerleader and gymnast, cultivating a love for sports that would shape her life's path. A devoted mother, she began coaching her daughter Bailey's volleyball team at the YMCA, which sparked a passion for mentoring young athletes. This passion grew into a successful volleyball coaching company, guiding elementary, junior high and high school players with her boundless energy and enthusiasm.
Known for her vivacious spirit, Ashley never met a stranger. She was the "opposite of quiet," lighting up every room she entered. She had a deep affection for animals, especially cats, and was particularly fond of her beloved dogs Heidi and Zoey. Her love for nature was evident in her admiration for dolphins, red cardinals, and monarch butterflies.
Ashley cherished her children and enjoyed a close bond with her large network of friends. Her love for music was undeniable, and she was a dedicated fan of Prince. She also had a passion for sports, rooting for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
Ashley touched the lives of many with her infectious personality, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the countless young athletes whose lives she helped shape.
She is survived by her son Christian, daughter Bailey, her family members, and many other dear friends.
