ARLINGTON -- Arthur Morin, 61, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. Memorial service: 4 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, 76013. Art had six children, Arthur Morin, Angelique Stiglic, Melissa Armendarez, Troy Moore, the late Thomas Morin, and Brandon Morin. He was blessed with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was an involved parent, coaching many of his children's sporting teams and ensuring they led safe and fun lives. His children always knew that, regardless of any of life's events, they were dearly and unconditionally loved. He was raised by the late David Morin and the late Janie Morin. He adored his wife's parents, Eva Gutierrez and the late Juan Gutierrez. Isaias Rendon became a close friend and recent caretaker of Art. Art was known to make the world's best barbecue. Most family members had one wish for their special occasions and that was for Art to cook. He loved golf, playing fantasy football with his kids, and helping those in need. Some of his happiest moments were spent at a park playing ball, grilling, and enjoying the company of family. His nieces and nephews remember they could always go to Uncle Art and Aunt Velma's house, with any number of friends in tow, just to be kids or to receive support and kindness. Art meant the world to so many people because of his gentle soul and kind, supportive nature. His love and laughter will be cherished forever. Survivors: Art is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary Vasquez, David Morin, Sandra Tapia, Angela Tovar, Steve Morin, Salvador Morin and Rachel Palomares; his sister-in-law and brothers-in law cherished the happiness and love he gave their sister, Velma.
