Arthur Anthony Richardson

Arthur A. Richardson, Jr. was born on May 11, 1945 and entered eternal life on September 15, 2017 at the age of 71. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Dr., Arlington. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service and on Thursday, September 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas. Arthur was a native of New Orleans. LA and was residing in Arlington, TX. He was educated in the Orleans parish school system and a graduate of George Washington Carver Sr. High School. He attended Southern University and A&M College, Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from Sidney N. Collier Technical Institute. Arthur served in the Vietnam War as a First Sergeant Communications Specialist in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad and retired after 34 years. He enjoyed carpentry and coaching baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Richardson, Sr. and Carrie Mae Richardson, his siblings, Ingrid Richardson and Donald Richardson, Sr. Survivors: He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Nicole M. Richardson of New Orleans, LA, Terrence Richardson, Arlington, TX, Chandra Richardson, New Orleans, LA, Brittany Richardson, Arlington, TX, matriarch and former spouse, Virginia J. Richardson, two sisters, Pearl Williams, Dover, DE, Cheryle Bartholomew, Conyers, GA (Charles), one brother, Mike Richardson, five Godchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
