ARLINGTON -- Anna Riddle Clements died on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in Arlington.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Jnne 3, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment will follow the service in Restland Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the funeral home.
Memorials: If desired, donations to the American Heart Association or United Way of Tarrant County are welcome in lieu of flowers.
Anna Pearl Riddle was born on Nov. 14, 1937, in Hainesville and attended Mineola High School. After marrying Thomas Edward "Eddy" Clements, they moved to Mesquite, where they raised their children and were members of the First Presbyterian Church. Anna obtained a bachelor's in social studies from East Texas State University and a master's in education from the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating summa cum laude in 1981. She subsequently had a long career teaching high school in Garland. After being widowed, she married Robert Alonzo "Lonnie" Wright in 1998. They moved to Arlington after her retirement from teaching in 2003 to be near grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Eloise and Doyle Riddle; brother, Henry Riddle; and sister, Paula Kyser.
Survivors: Husband, Lonnie Wright; daughters and sons-in-law, Patra and Steve Stroemer, and Leah and Marc Prda; grandchildren, Lauren Prda, Travis Stroemer, Mitchell Prda, Justine Stroemer and Marshall Prda; niece, Shelley Browning; nephew, Todd Kyser; and many other family members, friends and students.
