Ann Elizabeth Williams

Ann Elizabeth Williams, a beloved member of the Arlington community, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 85. She was a vibrant and compassionate woman who touched the lives of many with her infectious laughter and kind-hearted spirit.

Ann was born on January 19, 1938, in Dover, DE and resided for the past 58 years in Ft. Worth & Arlington, TX. She lived a rich and fulfilling life, dedicated to her church, family, and service to others. Ann earned her Associates Degree from McLennan Community College and Certificate in Gerontology from UT-Austin. Ann spent her vocational years initially as a LVN (licensed vocational nurse) and later as a Nursing Home Administrator, again bringing caring service to others. Her involvement in the Red Hat Society and Ambassadors of Aging brought her joy and allowed her to form strong bonds with fellow community members.

Known for her nurturing nature, Ann found great fulfillment in caring for the elderly and lending a helping hand to those in need. She had a natural gift for bringing comfort and warmth to others.

She found joy in dancing and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog, Honey. She was an avid fan of Perry Mason, Dragnet, Quincy ME, Lone Ranger and Rawhide, just to name a few.

A celebration of Ann’s life will take place on Monday, December 4, 2023 at St. John Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. in Arlington, Texas.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Esta Milligan and her son, Cecil McMillan, foster daughter, Diane Hawthorn, granddaughter, Halle Milligan, great granddaughter, Kinsley and great grandsons River & London, along with nephew, nieces and a host of relatives and friends.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank niece Donna McGhee for all the love bestowed upon Aunt Ann.
