Andrew Ryan “Andy” Wade, 65, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Arlington.
Funeral: 2p.m. Friday, September 10, at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 9, at the funeral home.
Andy was born on August 27, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to William Earl Wade Jr. and Martha Ellis Wade. He was a graduate of Arlington High School Class of 1975. Andy spent time as a fireman and EMT, but his real passion was building and creating. He was always drawing plans just for fun. Andy retired as a carpenter and contractor who employed many.
He was proud of the Wade family and their long history in Arlington; including his parent's involvement in the growth of the city. Marty worked as a nurse and Bill was a real estate agent. Andy was a fifth-generation resident and member of a pioneer family.
He loved the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers no matter how their seasons were going. He loved movies, history and Native American Culture. He loved the life sobriety gave him and returned that gift by helping everyone that he could with their journey. You would never see Andy without his giant cup filled with Dr. Pepper.
Andy's Labrador, Amos, went everywhere with him including job sites and St. Croix.
Andy loved deeply and always did everything to make his family happy. He loved to talk and could talk to anyone about anything. He always had a story for any conversation.
Andy was Andy and that's why everyone loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl “Bill” Wade Jr. and Martha Ellis “Marty” Wade; and son, Trent Brewer.
Survivors: Wife, Lynn Burckhalter Wade; daughter, Kristy Brewer Barry; brothers, Bill Wade and husband, Mike Kaberline; Mike “Badger” Wade and wife, Amy, John Wade and wife, Teresa and Clyde Wade and husband, John Seth Terry; grandchildren, Tobyn and Aiden Brewer; Bailey and Kylie Worrel and Isabelle Jaramillo; aunt, Lela Wade Staples; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
