Amy Puempel Miskelly

Waxahachie, TX- Amy Puempel Miskelly, 58, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 3:00pm at Wade Funeral Home, W. Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, Texas, 76013. She grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from Bowie High School in 1980. She went on to college to earn a bachelor's degree and became an elementary school teacher. For the last 35 years Amy has served as Manager of two medical offices working alongside her father and brother. Amy enjoyed many hobbies including hiking, reading, traveling, creative arts, observing nature and yoga. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She is remembered for her love of all people and genuine desire for all to be treated with dignity and respect. She is survived by her parents, Otto and Wanda Puempel; husband, Shaun; sons: Taylor Johnson (Staci), Connor Johnson, and Carson Johnson; stepsons: Charlie Miskelly, Danny Miskelly and Harry Miskelly; grandchildren: Maddux, Riley and Marcus; brothers: Todd Puempel, Jay Puempel (Dorothy), Chris Puempel (Gayla); sister: Jana Sweet (Michael); and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
