Dr. Amanda "Andy" Robinson

April 26, 1965 — April 23, 2022

Dr. Amanda “Andy” Robinson of Grapevine, TX, died peacefully at home on the morning of April 23, 2022, surrounded by family.

Andy was born the youngest of three children on April 26, 1965, in Dover, Delaware, to parents Jacqueline and Robert McNeil. A lifelong learner, she received her Bachelor of Science from Baylor University, her Physical Therapy degree from University of Maryland, her Master of Physical Therapy from University of Michigan, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis.

She treated thousands of patients in her more than 30-year career while also teaching physical therapy at numerous universities, including the University of Michigan, Central Michigan University, University of Texas El Paso, Nazareth University, Emory University, and the University of North Georgia. She was a fantastic mother and wife, and she devoted countless hours to the many churches she attended over her lifetime.

Andy was known for her wide smile, contagious laugh, absurdly festive holiday celebrations, crazy socks, and elaborate butterfly gardens. Her devotion to the Lord, her family, her patients, her colleagues, and her patients was steadfast and sincere.

Andy is survived by her husband Reverend William “Pistol” Robinson, son Will Robinson, daughter Lauren Livingston, son-in-law Taylor Livingston, grandson Elijah Livingston, sister Lisa Boothe and her six children, and her niece Maggie McNeil. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert “Bo” McNeil.

Andy died of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and aggressive neurodegenerative disease. Donations can be made in her honor to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation, which provides resources to caregivers of those with this disease and supports research to find a cure.
