Alvin Bert Koscheski

November 6, 1936 — January 26, 2024

Alvin Bert Koscheski, age 87, was born to Albert Nelson Koscheski and Iva Fish
Koscheski on November 6, 1936 in Pampa, Texas and passed away on January 26,
2024 in Arlington, Texas.

Alvin “Jappy” was raised in a northeastern Oklahoma farming community where he
attended a one-room schoolhouse at Bittercreek and was part of the small country
church throughout his residency in Oklahoma. He began singing and playing the guitar
by age 15.

He graduated from Adair High School in 1955 and joined the United States Air Force,
where he became an electronics technician and served in many capacities over a long
and distinguished career. In 1976 after serving his country for 21 years, Alvin retired as
a Chief Master Sergeant (E9) and then embarked on a second 21+ year career with
Hewlett Packard.

On June 16, 1963 he married the love of his life, Joyce Duncan Koscheski. They were
passionate about singing and playing music together as both a lifelong hobby and
ministry to nursing homes and local churches. They always integrated a relationship
with God and music as they grew their marriage of 60 years. They were blessed with
two beautiful children.

Jappy was larger than life! He was a sociable guy who never met a stranger and was
sure to learn the name of each and every person he encountered. Powered by that
God-given smile and those deep dimples, along with his positive personality and
character, he made many friends along life’s journey.

His priorities were consistently God, family, country, service/charity, and music
throughout his fulfilling life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Duncan Koscheski; daughter Connie L Kramer and
son-in-law Kevin O. Kramer; son Lieutenant General Michael G. Koscheski and
daughter-in-law Jolisa Mullinax Koscheski; granddaughter Caroline C. Koscheski, the
“apple of his eye”; brother Ted Koscheski and sister-in-law Patti Koscheski; sister-in-law
Joyce Duncan, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and a
host of relatives, and friends.

Alvin “Jappy” was preceded in death by his parents Albert Koscheski and Iva
Koscheski; his brothers Wayne Koscheski and wife Bobbie Koscheski and RJ
Koscheski and wife Vicky Koscheski;
