Alice Marie Jones

ARLINGTON -- To the joy of heaven, Alice "Marie" Hargett Jones was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 31, 2015. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, with the Rev. Monsignor Joseph S. Scantlin, celebrant. Best known as Marie, she was born Oct. 30, 1937, in Rosebud, Ark. Marie was a most devoted mother and wife and worked for many years at the General Motors plant in Arlington where she retired before 2000. She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. James Owen Hargett, and mother, Emma Alice Brazier, both of Rosebud, Ark.; brothers, James C. Hargett and Charles Lee Hargett; and two sisters, Ganeva Doreen Hargett Haney and Lula Montene Hargett Haney. Survivors: Her husband of 59 years, Arthur Lee Jones; sons, Ronnie Lee Jones (Sherri) and Clark Howard Jones; their grandson, Ronnie's son, Joshua Lane Jones; and sister, Emma Sue Hargett Reddick of Rosebud, Ark.
