Alice Patricia Gannon Powers

ARLINGTON -- Alice Gannon Powers, 61, passed away at home on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, surrounded by family. Memorial service: Noon Saturday, Dec. 21, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Jason Freeman officiating. Memorials: Donations to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund and St. Jude Children's Hospital are greatly appreciated. Alice was born Feb. 14, 1952, in Somerville, N.J. She married James Powers, Nov. 15, 1975. They moved to Texas in 1979 where Alice became an employee of American Airlines. She retired in 2013 after 31 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and MiMi to her grandbaby, London Rose. She is preceded in death by her father, James Gannon. Survivors: She is survived by her husband, James; sons, Matthew and Kevin; daughter, Lauren; granddaughter, London; sisters, Jayne Evans and Kathy Gannon Brielmann; and mother, Marguerite Gannon of Warminster, Pa.
