FORT WORTH -- Alice Louise Holland, 78, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, in Arlington.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Charlie Cemetery in Charlie. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society or Charlie Cemetery Foundation, 555 N. Bevering Lane, Wichita Falls, Texas 76305.
Alice was born March 11, 1937, in Jacksboro to AJ Middlebrooks and Maggie Lee Harper Middlebrooks. She retired as regional security manager for Southwestern Bell and AT&T.
She served as chairman of the Fort Worth Transportation Authority. Alice also served on the Senior Community Development Grant Board and the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Fort Worth. She was executive secretary for the East Fort Worth Business Association and a lifetime member of the American Society for Industrial Security.
Alice was an active member of Bridgewood Church of Christ in Fort Worth and a member of the Handley Singers. She was an accomplished photographer and enjoyed traveling with her friends. She also enjoyed her home in Cloudcroft, N.M., and her many friends there.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, AJ and Maggie Lee Middlebrooks.
Survivors: Husband, Foye Holland; sisters, Jarrelyn Lang and Barbara Gaston and husband, Tom; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
