Alice Joyce Andrews

ARLINGTON -- Alice Joyce Andrews, 89, passed away peacefully August 23, 2016 surrounded by her family. Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Community Hospice of Texas, www.chot.org. Alice's humble beginnings shaped her character and fueled her generosity towards others. She enjoyed making her own clothes throughout her life, as well as creating pieces for others. An avid golfer, Alice was a member of the "Hole in One Club" twice-over. Alice loved art and especially enjoyed Irish music. A true animal lover, Alice had a special love for dachshunds. The Andrews family wish to offer a special and heartfelt thanks to Sherie Lowe; Alice's best friend and caretaker. (oh, the stories!) We also wish to thank Alice's many friends in the area such as Lisa, Brenda, Cynthia and the entire "Kroger Krewe"& Anita and Dina of Tom Thumb. Alice was a true original. She will be sorely missed. Survivors: She is survived by children, Allison (62), Douglas (60), Brian (59) and Miguel (58).
