Alfred "Jack" Alton Nelson

Alfred “Jack” Alton Nelson, age 88, passed away on December 21, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Alfred was born on August 1, 1934, in Palacios, Texas to Herman Powell Nelson and Lois Beatrice Alton.

Alfred was a Texas A&M graduate. He served and retired from the United States Army, where he served as Sergeant Major.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lois Nelson; and step-son, Richard Allen Kerns.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Franke Kerns Nelson; step-son, Merlin Wayne Kerns; sons, David Nelson and James Nelson; daughters, Diane Lewis and April Schaub; and a host of extended family and friends.
