Alford Gregory Werner

A loving father and grandfather, Alford Gregory Werner passed away on the morning of Friday, March 22, 2019 at the age of 71. A memorial service for Al will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013. Al began working at Lockheed Martin in 1983 and spent 30 dedicated years working on the F-16 program before retiring in 2013. His love for planes inspired him to become a pilot and was apparent he was most happy while in the sky. He was also an avid racquetball player at the Maverick Athletic Club and frequently flew his friends to compete in racquetball tournaments. Al also had an unfailing love for music and his guitar. He would frequently be found playing Eagles songs and passed that love on to his son. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth, love and generosity of “Big Al”. He is survived by his three children – daughter Angela Tincher, her husband Dwayne Tincher, daughter Amy Prather, son Clinton Werner, and his wife Melody Werner, six grandchildren – Josh Prather, Lacey Tincher, Taylor Prather, Makayla Prather, Baylee Tincher and Brooke Tincher.
