Alfonso’s early life in San Antonio was filled with joy and dreams. He grew up in a close-knit community and went straight into the military after high school, proudly serving in the Air Force during the Korean War. His service to his country was a source of immense pride for him; he received the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. After his military service, Alfonso attended some college at St. Mary’s before moving to California to pursue his career.

Alfonso met the love of his life, Ennedina, in Phoenix, Arizona. Together, they built a loving family and a life full of joy and shared passions. He always wore his cowboy boots and had a love for dancing with Ennedina. Alfonso was a man who loved to read and expected his family always to do the right thing.

Even after retirement, Alfonso could not sit still. He continued to volunteer at Catholic churches and helped in any way he could. His love for life extended to his yard, where he enjoyed planting new flowers and watching them grow.
