Alexander Leslie Mills, 90, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 in Grapevine.
Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, 911 S. Davis Drive, Arlington.

Alex was born February 17, 1927 in London, England to Arthur Albert Mills and Florence Dowsett Mills. He served in the Royal Navy during WWII and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Alex married Evelyn James in June of 1946.
He became a Master Tool and Die Maker via English Trade Schooling. Alex, Eve and Chris immigrated from England to Canada in 1953. In 1954 Alex was hired by Chance Vought Aircraft and the family moved to Texas. His US Citizenship was granted in 1959.
Alex was very active at St. Alban's since 1957 until his health prevented his attendance. He was a 33rd Degree Freemason and member of the Moslah Shrine Temple in Fort Worth. He was an extraordinary craftsman and loved to work with his hands in all types of media particularly wood. Alex retired from Vought in 1991 having been the Director of Operations for the B-2 Aircraft production.
Alex had an incredible relationship with his grandchildren, Kimberly and Jeffrey, and new grandson-in-law, Vishwaraj (Vish). He loved travel, photography, home remodeling (extensive), motor home travel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Mills in 2014.
Survivors: Son, Chris Mills and wife, Carolyn; and grandchildren, Kimberly Mills and husband, Vish and Jeffrey Mills.
