Alvin Eugene Miller, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 18,2018 in Arlington, Texas. Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 21, at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 4400 Pleasantview Drive, Arlington, Texas. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Al was born on January 23, 1940 in Seagraves, Texas, to Alvin Miller and Lillian Russell Hill. Al graduated from LaVega High School in 1958 in Belmead, Texas, and the University of North Texas in 1964 with a BA in History and 1966 with a MEd in Education. He married Jo Ann Webb of Daingerfield, Texas, on December 29, 1970. They shared 48 years of marriage. Al was the principal of J. B. Little Elementary from 1976 to 1997. Al was a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. Survivors: Al is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Miller; sister, Janis Beard, and husband David; sister, Carole Bott and husband, John; niece, Lindsay Welch and husband, Bryant; nephew, Brady Lillard and wife, Amanda and their children, Christian and Victoria.
