Wayne Miller, 67, beloved husband, father, grandfather and longtime Arlington resident, passed away Monday September 3, 2012 in an Arlington hospital. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Dr. Eric Herrstrom, officiating. Wayne was born October 1, 1944 to Alvin Henry Miller and Faye Wren in Temple, Texas. An Arlington resident since 1952, Wayne graduated from Arlington High School. He worked with Robbie Robbins of North Central Texas Truck and Trailer Repair and was in Trailer Sales and Services with the Fruehauf Corporation for many years. Wayne enjoyed sports and was a member of the National Softball Association . He was inducted into The USSSA Softball Association Hall of Fame in 2004. Survivors: Wife, Jan; daughters, Stephanie Miller and husband, Ken Hammond and Deborah Aday and Jody Privett; grandchildren; Garrett, Abbie, Logan and Adyson; sister, Marilyn Gromacki; nephews, Terry and his wife, Ginny, Rod and his wife, Cindy, Jimmy Lynn and wife, Jackie; brother-in-law, Quincy Clements and wife, Jean; sister-in-law, Barbara Burnaugh; and many extended family members

  1. Jan and girls. We mourn with you on the loss of Uncle Wayne. He fought the good fight and grew tired, so the lord took him home to be with Mammaw and Papaw who welcomed him with open arms. He will forever be in our hearts, and we are here for all of you. Much love.

    I cant tell you how sorry I am at the loss of my favorite and biggest Uncle, Wayne. What a gentle Giant of a man he was. He has left a big hole in all of us. He had the such a great heart for people and the friendliest enthusiasm for everything and was always so good to me. I hate that he is gone but his memories will never leave me. God Bless yall.

  5. Wayne was a wonderful and dedicated husband, a caring father and a sweet friend. My sister Susie and I have a great admiration for Wayne and for his love of Jan. He always greeted us with kindness and respect. We will miss him.
