Vickie L. Crawford

Vickie Crawford, 66 years old, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on August 6th, 2021 at her home. She was born on May 5th, 1955, to Lawrence and Mary Langley in Arlington, Texas.  Vickie attended Sam Houston High School class of 1973. She married Brian Crawford on September 27th, 1980, and they had two children, David and Kevin. Vickie was an avid bowler and part of a bowling league for many years. Anyone who knew Vickie knew she loved to float in the pool with a good book. Soaking in the bathtub was one of her favorite pastimes. She never met a stranger and was a friend to many. From active membership in the PTA, booster clubs, and homeroom mom, Vickie was always an active parent ensuring the children had everything they needed. Having helped raised children, as a part time career, many consider her their second mom. She made sure everyone was always taken care of. Above all else, Vickie's most favorite role was being Gigi. All was right in the world when she was with her grandchildren. Her spirit can be seen in the four grandkids. Vickie is survived by her husband Brian, two sons, David and Kevin. Her daughters in law Brenda and Taren. Four grandchildren: Hannah, Hailey, Kade, and Tegan. Her mother, Mary Langley. Siblings: Larry Langley (wife June), Donna Sullivan (husband Carroll), Sue Langley (wife Lisa Rabe). Brother and sister-in-law Randy and Amanda Crawford, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Langley. Father and Mother-in-law, Ray and Nelda Crawford, and brother-in-law Richard Crawford.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 11th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, Texas 76013. Funeral services will be August 12th at 10am at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, TX 76013. Interment will follow services at Pleasant Point Cemetery in Lillian, TX via funeral procession from the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers please have donations be made to SPCA , American Cancer Society, or charity of choice in her memory.
