vester cain

February 4, 1933 ~ March 1, 2022

Born in: Dike, TX
Resided in: Mansfield, TX

On Tuesday, March 1, 2022 the Lord called home Vester (Lee) Cain. The outpouring of love and support by family & friends that surrounded him at his death was reflective of his 89 years of life of loving and caring for so many.

Born to Allie Maye & Gilbert Cain Sr. (both deceased) on February 4, 1933. Lee was #3 of seven children, Chesaline Frank (deceased), Essie Sickles of Mansfield, Earl Cain (deceased), Ina Dodson of Porter TX, Annita Morris of Flint TX and Gilbert Cain Jr. of Arvada CO. With a family so large in a time where money was tight Lee learned to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and to work hard.

Leaving home he found a beautiful & feisty girl named Joann and immediately told everyone he was “going to marry that girl”. Always true to his word Lee & Joann shared 71 amazing years together. Their children Sandy Good of Mansfield, Clarence Cain and Paul Cain (deceased) gave him nine wonderful grandchildren that have now given him numerous great grandchildren.

Lee, a natural born leader, and a man of action served God in many ways. A long time deacon of Grace Temple Baptist Church in Arlington TX he served in many rolls. Lee played a key roll in building Oasis Baptist Church in Arlington Texas where he continue to serve. Lee’s deep love of Christ was evident to all who knew him.

Lee was a business man, highly sought after for expertise in the building of oil tools. Throughout his life he built and sold many businesses. Arlington Automatics, Cain Oil Tools and Innovative Products Inc. are a few you may recognize. Lee leased both commercial and residential properties. Lee also had a passion for antique cars and was well known at swap meets and car shows all over the country. Regardless of how you may have done business with him, he was a man of integrity and was well respected.

Lee leaves this world for the Heavenly one God has for him. All of us that knew him will miss him dearly. Because, whether you were immediate family, a nephew or niece or a long lost cousin or a friend Lee loved you in abundance.
