ARLINGTON -- Vesta Alberta Henderson, 77, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Vesta was born February 20, 1937 in Corpus Christi to Bernice Oliphant and Lawrence A. Carter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence A. Carter and Bernice Oliphant Carter; husband, Bill Henderson; 2 sisters, Alma Hardeman and Fannie Hunter; nieces, Kay Hunter and Faye Smith; nephews, Stanley Smith and Anthony Carter; and great-grandchild, Akausha. Survivors: Children, Greta Lee and husband, Charles, Robert Livingston, Stalin Henderson, Nila Henderson and Darren Goodman; sister, Linda Freeman and husband, Sylvester; grandchildren, Kelvin, Kerrie, Christopher, Chelsea, Savannah, Sebastian, Austin, Alexis, Joshua, Cameron, Anissa, Victoria and Charles Jr.; great-grandchildren, Mia, Ryjah, Tylor, Rondy Jr., Kelvin Jr., Jaylon, Aveonn, Arystun and Jakayla; and a host of nieces and nephews. You have my condolences and prayers, I love your mom I have messed up so many times trying to cut my hair ,color my hair your mom was always there to make it right ,laughing at me telling me don’t do any more next time ,I’ve did something else crazy but she always made it right, She will truly be missed .

  5. My prayers and love goes out to the family. I had nothing but love for my favorite beauticians. There was a generation of 3 that fixed my hair. Starting with the grandmother, to daughter, to son. There will be many memories left to tell and think about. Mary Taliaferro
