Verina Faye (Fowler) Farris was born the 10th child of James Franklin & Martha Susan Fowler on August 23, 1934 in Weatherford, Texas. Her childhood was spent with her large family on their dairy farm. She married her high school sweetheart, William D. Farris, at the tender age of 17 and spent an amazing 67 years with him until his passing 1/19/2019. Together, W.D. & Verina have 5 children: Scotty (Rhonda), Suzann (Gary), Trisha (David), Stevan (Nicky), & Allan, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. The matriarch of her large family, her love for Jesus Christ fueled her passion to serve others. We will cherish memories of home cooked meals, Sunday brunch, and her love for her family & friends. We will miss her smile and her welcoming spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, & 8 siblings. Her survivors include: Her 5 children and their families, her sister Lue (Fowler) Tucker, & her brother-in-law Don Farris (Paul).
