My sincere condolences to your family as you all go through this difficult time. Please be assured that God “cares for you.” (1 Peter 5: 7) He provides a comforting answer to this question “If a man dies, can he live again?” (Job 14:14) It is found at Acts 24:15 which says “And I have hope toward God… that there is going to be a resurrection” It is this hope that can comfort us in the darkness of death.
Dearest DD… I just now found this site while searching how I might add to the little stories I’ve written about my childhood friend, Vanatta.
I’ll look forward to talking to you when ‘Netta’s birthday rolls around on January 22, when I always teased her that she was older than I (only 6 months!) …And maybe on my birthday, June 2, when she’d call me to say “Nyah Nyah, you’re as old as I!”
Be blessed, Dear Lady… and Shalom,
Bettye Martin-McRae
