Una (Gail) Reeves Bennett, Beloved Partner, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend passed peacefully at home with family at her side. Gail was born in Hamlin, Texas to J.O. Hopper and Virginia Avis Hopper.

She was raised in Fort Worth and graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1952, then attended TCU earning her BS in Education. Gail moved to Denver, Colorado in the mid 1960’s and raised her family; she was a 3rd grade teacher for Cherry Creek School District in Englewood, CO. Gail lived in Denver until 1993 when she moved to Arlington, TX to be close to family and enjoy her retirement.
Gail loved God, Country and Family; with a deep admiration for our military. She had a great sense of humor and loved being with her family and friends. She loved art and was an excellent artist herself; she enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Gail loved to visit the Florida gulf coast, sunsets, walking on the beach and finding seashells were some of her favorite memories.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dr Jerry Hopper and daughter Leanne Reeves Sherrill.

Survived by loving Partner/Husband Bob Smusz, Son Dr Tim Reeves, Captain US Navy, Stepson Todd M. Smusz wife Melanie, sister Brenda M. Sutton, Granddaughters Taylor Rae Bowen (USMC), husband Matt, Lauren Reeves Barth (US Navy), husband Jonathan, Grandson Brayden Reeves, nine Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Friday December 9th, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, 800 W. 5th St. Fort Worth, TX 76102
