ARLINGTON -- Sydney Alice Beaver Collins, 63, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, in Arlington.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Sydney was born Nov. 9, 1950, in Charleston, W.Va., to Estice L. Collins and Lucille Beaver Collins.
Sydney was an avid reader and a lover of old world artistry. She had many talents, diverse interests and hobbies.
Survivors: Brother, Derek L. Collins and wife, Sally; nieces, Stephanie, Melanie, Julie and Kelley; great-nephews, Daniel, Jacob, Aaron, Derek and Drew.

Sydney was a great stitcher and friend. I knew her only a few years but I enjoyed her wit and smile each time we visited.
Although I only knew Sydney for six years, she was a good friend. She was always eager to share her stitching expertise and had a great vision of colors and textures. She will be missed.
