I’m still so shocked as we all are, but Shawn was truly a great friend that would always stand by your side. I loved her and will always miss her.
It says a LOT about Shawn that the single most enjoyable aspect of any jobsite was the revelation that she was there!
Dear Freeburg Family,
The DataBank family was deeply saddened to learn of Shawn’s death and we would like to express to you our sincere sadness and sympathies at this difficult time on behalf of the management here at DataBank. Shawn was a highly valuable and respected member of our team and the effects of her loss are already being felt here by her fellow employees and the management.
Shawn was someone who team members and managers dreams of having on their team and it was always a joy to see her at the office.
During her years here, her dedication and selfless nature was always something that many others could only hope to attain and all who knew her regarded her with great respect and admiration. Her efforts and contributions will never be forgotten.
Please accept our sincere and heartfelt condolences at this most difficult time. Shawn was a remarkable person and we here at DataBank are all better people for having known her. For those of us who knew Shawn personally, we knew her to be kind, honest and a person of great honor and strength.
She will be greatly missed and are all saddened by her passing and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

My deepest sympathies to Robert, Nanceen, Alyson & Bob. It has been so many years since we visited. Shawn & I recently did reconnect and I am so proud of her accomplishments. She kept any illness private. Please do take care and know the Guzzo family of Buffalo is thinking of you. –Gail
To all of Shawn’s family we send our deepest condolences. Shawn and I had a great time connecting our McFeely family lines and she sent us lots of pics and info and we will be forever grateful for her contributions! She was so fun to talk to on the phone, we really connected well. I would like to thank the family for taking the time and effort to find us and notify us of her passing as I always think about her during the holidays. She will be missed by the Buffalo family here as well.
