ARLIINGTON -- Sharon Lynn Peirson went home Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Private in Leonard Cemetery. Sharon was born Dec. 31, 1952, to Jesse Barber and Frances Scoggin in Kansas City, Mo. Sharon grew up in Denison and graduated from Denison High School in 1970. As a young adult Sharon accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Throughout her life Sharon exemplified Christ's love to everyone she met. This ultimately led her to the YMCA where she served for many years. Her love encompassed the programs she led: Special Friends, the Miracle League and Silver Sneakers. To say that Sharon impacted many lives would truly be an understatement. Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, V.S. Scoggin and Addie McElroy; her parents, Jesse Barber and Frances Scoggin; stepfather, Lonnie Rheay; and her dear aunts, Jeannine, Norene and Neta and uncle, Dale. Survivors: Husband, Barry; daughters, Heather and Christin; son, Jared and wife, Jill; mother-in-law, Janie Peirson; grandchildren, Austin, Maddison, Molly, Emma and Lily.
