Shaquille Jamal Lee Tate "Shaq", 20, has left us with great joy, lots of love, and uncountable memories. Shaq was born November 1, 1992 in El Paso and raised in Arlington. He attended Arlington High School and graduated from James Madison High School in San Antonio December 2012. Shaq loved playing, watching and talking about football and boxing. His free spirit, positive outlook on life and unforgettable smile will be remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
Preceded in death by his grandfather Carlos Alvarado and great-grandmother Petra Solis.
Survivors: Mother, Margarita Enriquez; brother, David Kelly; sister, Jessica Tate; niece, Xiamara Loya; grandmother, Carmen Alvarado; aunts and uncles, John Enriquez, Erika and Noel Salazar, and Melissa and Joseph Martinez; cousins, Joshua Enriquez, Ashlee and Zakary Hemphill, Destiny and Draven Salazar, and Madelyn Martinez.

This young man was deeply loved by many, as evidenced by the outpouring of emotion at his passing. May his entire community of friends find comfort in their memories. To Shaq’s family and all his loved ones, I offer my most heartfelt condolences.
Shaq was considered part of our family. He had a special place in our hearts from the day we met him. His sweet personality and smile will be in our memories for ever. Our deepest condolences to his family. Our prayers are with you.
Shaq was a wonderful friend to my daughter and myself. He had such a Great Heart and Soul and it outpoured in him the last time I saw him. I am so proud of him for graduating and I know he is in a wonderful place, however we grieve for the wonderful person that he is. May Shaq’s mother find a small bit of comfort by knowing that Shaq loved her soo much, and he has such a wonderful heart. God bless you and give you comfort. Know that you now have an angel with you on your shoulder at all times!
