ARLINGTON -- Ruby Jo Brockette Heffington, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, entered heaven's gate on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Tuesday in Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.

Jo was born on May 27, 1926, in Aubrey to Leslie Thomas Brockette and Ida Mae Lewis Brockette. She was raised in Aubrey and lived in Denton many years before moving to Arlington in 1952. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Arlington.
Survivors: Loving husband of 61 years, Billy; son, Michael Smith and wife, Joyce; grandson, Michael Jarrod; granddaughters, Amy Shipps and husband, Donnie, April Reasoner and husband, Kenny; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and seven nieces and nephews.
