MANSFIELD -- Ronald Gayle Hawpe, 79, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in Mansfield. Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane A. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Ronald was born on November 27, 1934 in Dallas to George Aldridge Hawpe and Cleo Neal Hawpe. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A resident of Kennedale and Mansfield since 1986, he was a member of Woods Chapel Baptist Church. Ronald retired as a computer programmer from Sun Oil Co. He loved antiques, and restored and refinished clocks and furniture. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mike Hawpe, John Hawpe and Truman Shaw. Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Sylvia Ann Hawpe; daughters, Chrystanne Rene Trask and husband, Don, and Cynthanne Lene Duryea and husband, Jeff; brother, Tim Hawpe; sisters, Mary Caldwell, Suzanne Brooks and Julia Craddock-Bragg; 4 grandchildren, Ryan Trask and wife, Janie, Aaron Trask, Paul Duryea and Gabrielle Duryea; and 2 great-grandchildren, Abbi and Kate Trask.   1. We were sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. They were long-time neighbors in Shady Creek and people still ask about them. They enjoyed decorating and putting out flowers in the yard. We have often thought how much they would have enjoyed the young family now living in their home. There are lots of flowers and two little girls playing in the backyard. God bless you all.
