Roger Kirk Ellis

Kirk Ellis, age 58, passed away on January 11, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.

Kirk was born in Arlington, Texas, on October 23, 1964, to Dean Ellis and Jackie (White) Chapman. He attended Hill Elementary, Bailey Junior High School and Arlington High School.

Kirk never met a stranger. He had the best sense of humor and was quick witted. He was the most fun and loving person to be around. Kirk was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and brother; he was the rock. Kirk enjoyed golfing with his best friends, fishing, hunting, and any outdoor activity. He loved sports, motorcycles, classic rock and country music, but most of all he loved his family.

Kirk served in the U.S. Army. He worked in the family RV business and later in life served as Vice President of Maintenance for long-term care facilities.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Chapman and his father, Dean Ellis.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Jodie Ellis; son, Chance Ellis and partner, Derek; daughter, Colbie Massey, husband, Jacob and granddaughter, Ella; sister, Melody Mead and husband, Glen; nephew, Robby Storey; cousins, Jeff O’Dell and family and LeAnne Velona and family.

A Memorial service for Kirk Ellis will be held on January 19, 2023 at Park Row Christian Academy at 4:30pm with family friend, Jim McAndrew, officiating. Reception immediately following the memorial service.
