ARLINGTON -- Robert Earl Douglas, 76, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, in Irving.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Tabernacle, 507 E. Randol Mill Rd., Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington.
Memorials: The Building Fund at Faith Tabernacle.
Robert was born June 11, 1936, in Alligator, Mississippi, to Virgil and Virgie Douglas.
Robert retired from General Motors after 30 years and was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Arlington for 40 years.
Robert enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Survivors: Wife of 40 years, Barbara Ann Douglas; sons, David Rose, Robert Douglas and wife, Darlene, Virgil Douglas and wife, Doris, Terry Lee Rose and wife, Janice, Delbert Rose and wife, Ashley and Michael Douglas; daughters, Diane Georgiff, Sheila Dumas, Debra Jacob and husband, Randy, Donna Bell and Betty Tanner; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Uncle Carl will be missed by all of us. He was always such a joy to be around at any family function. He loved Aunt Barb and showed his affection often with lots of hugs and kisses! He fought a good fight, kept the faith and is ready to meet his reward in heaven.
