Rickey Groves, 64, passed away while asleep at his home early Saturday morning, Aug. 25, 2012.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington. Interment: Rick will be buried in Moore Memorial Gardens afterwards. Visitation: The family will welcome visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
A treasured husband, father, grandfather and cherished friend to many, Rick will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Survivors: His wife, Tonie; daughters, Jennifer Wolf and her husband, Todd, and Christina Keller and her husband, David; grandchildren, Emma, Kate, Jack and Carly; mother, Betty; and sister, Jo.

Please know that you will be in my thoughts as we cry together because he is gone from us but rejoice in having been blessed to know and love him.
I met Rick like I do all new neighbors, saying hi and welcome. After that, it was on. We became fast friends (I felt). We could talk about anything and usually did. It is a wonder we did not get run over, we spent so much time together in the street. In the all too brief time that I knew him, Rick seemed to be the same gregarious person that I am, with most of the same foibles that I have. I believe that is why I liked him so much. I am surely going to miss our talks, his smile and his friendship. God Bless, Tonie.
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers and Rick was such a fine person and it was an honor to both work and have him a s a friend during my D&B days. God rest his soul.
