Visitation: Thursday 6-8 p.m., vigil at 7 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington. Interment: Emerald Hills, Kennedale. Richard was born June 20, 1951 to Mary and Odis Riney. He was the younger brother of Robert (Bob) and Evelyn. On August 25, 1973 he married the love of his life, Cynthia (Sandy), and together they raised three children, Matthew, Chelsea, and Joshua. Richard taught his children about music, art, hunting, and most precious of all, love. Richard always enjoyed music and in his youth was the guitarist for the band Little Joe and the Gentlemen. He had a keen eye for the beauty in the world. He loved hunting and especially loved sharing time with family and friends. He was loved dearly by his extended family including his mother and father-law, Elizabeth and Milton (dec.), and his sisters-in-law, Carol and Denise, and brother-in-law, Mark. He shared special times with each of his nieces - Amy, Donna, and Ashleigh. He was blessed to see all three of his children marry and start families of their own. He welcomed his son-in-law, Patrick, and daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Melody. Richard was overjoyed with the arrival of each grandchild – Jacob, Jaxon, Rick, and Michael. Richard had a successful career as a photo retoucher and imager. He attributed his work ethic to his former bosses and customers. He shared that strive for perfection proudly with his children. While an artist by trade, he always wanted to make a difference in the world. Little did he know that his journey with Alzheimer's disease would allow him to open the doors for others battling this disease. He participated in every study he could and encouraged everyone to help find a cure. The family encourages you to donate to the Alzheimer's Association and help find a cure.
