PANTEGO -- Phyllis Schulze Reynolds, 82, one of life's greatest joys, passed from this life Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Dr. Dennis Wiles officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Phyllis was born in San Antonio on June 16, 1932. She lived a happy childhood in San Antonio with her parents, Elmore and Essie Schulze, and her sister, Elizabeth Schulze Kaiser. Phyllis later studied nursing at Baptist Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, where she became a registered nurse. After graduating, Phyllis moved to Dallas to work at Parkland Hospital in the cardio-pulmonary lab. While working at Parkland, Phyllis was invited to go on a blind date where she met (and married 10 weeks later) her future husband, Gerald Nayer Reynolds. Gerald was an electrical engineer at Convair Fort Worth, now Lockheed Martin. They made their home in Arlington, where they have lived 57 wonderful years together. While raising their family, Phyllis and Gerald continued the family antique business, eventually expanding Reynolds Antiques from a part-time endeavor to a full-time business and career change. Phyllis loved family and loved life. She will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, her profound capacity to love and, of course, her cooking. Survivors: Phyllis will be dearly missed by all those who love her, including her husband of 57 years, Gerald Nayer Reynolds; sons, Gerald Reynolds Jr. and wife, Julie, and Keith Reynolds and wife, Anita; grandchildren, Keith, Kevin and wife, Rachel, Kristy, Jerry, Adrienne and husband, Josiah, and Olivia; great-grandson, Aiden; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
