“Peggy Ann Rudd, 87, passed away peacefully at Arlington Memorial Hospital this past Monday, March 21, 2022.
Peggy was born to Mother Bernice Dockery (c. 1911 – 2000) and Father Harvey Hyatt (c. 1908 – 1975) on November 03, 1934, in Elkin, NC. She was employed for approximately 15 Years as an Administrative Assistant to The Dean of The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington. Peggy was also a Graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington, completing a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies in 1990. She was pre-deceased by Husband of 48 years, Joseph Frank Rudd, Jr. of Reidsville, NC, Sisters Cecilia Key (d. 2005) and Sarah Simpson (d. 2021) of North Carolina and is survived by Brothers Van Hyatt of Cincinnati, Ohio and Edward Hyatt of Virginia; Daughter Mary Susan Rudd Mitchell (and Spouse Lawrence G. Mitchell) of Taos, NM, Son Joseph Frank Rudd III (and Spouse Michaelle Comer Rudd) of McKinney, TX and Son Michael David Rudd (and Spouse Loretta Cooper Rudd) of Memphis, TN; Husband Bill Gaut of Arlington, TX; Grand Children Rachel Anne Rudd of Fort Worth, TX, Joshua Aaron Rudd (and Spouse Jennifer Damron Rudd) of Cresson, TX, Nicholas Rudd of Austin, TX, Emma Rudd of Chicago, Illinois, Seven Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.
She will be sorely missed by many.”
