Karen – im sorry – and im sorry i lost contact with ya’ll—Monte was a real friend to all he met– always willing to help–i remember our good times at SFA–sitten on the front porch smoking, drinking a little and wondering how we were going to pay our enormous 75 bucks for the next months rent–it didn’t matter much everybody was broke anyway–i remember his trip to come see me in Lajitas, Tx. and our trip down the Rio Grande–and the way we tore up the Arkansas river on a trip on it–Karen tho GOD has him now he still loves you just as much as he did while he was here with you and Kelli, Krista, and Micheal–he was a good man and i am pleased to have known him–wish i had stayed closer contact to ya’ll–you and him were fun partners and GOD will take care of ya’ll–johnny savage

  13. Karen and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Monte was a very special person who enjoyed life to the fullest. His sense of humor was one of his true attributes. I have some wonderful memories of the times we all spent together many, many years ago when all our children were growing up. May your memories of him give you comfort in the difficult time of grief. My prayer is that God will grant you peace and comfort.

  14. I can’t say the sadness I feel at Mike’s loss. He was such a great, crazy, fun guy with a beautiful family. He was my first car date. I pray for comfort for his family, and for all of us, his friends. We are thinking of you from up here in Maryland.

  15. Karen and Family: I have thought about you throughout the year and want you to know that Monte will not be forgotten. His sense of humor and wonderful personality lives on in my memories of him. Blessings to you all from an old friend. Linda
