Shocked and saddened to hear about Mike. He was a great boss 20 years ago – I had two young ones and never thought a single guy would have compassion or understand – boy was I surprised. I traveled with Mike for one week to Paris, Frankfurt and London as we followed Bob Crandall around, we had a blast! I hope the legacy he leaves behind gives comfort to his family and close friends.
Still in shock from this. Mike was a great man. He had a big heart and cared so much for everyone. He was not only a great director but also a good friend. He truly had an open door policy. He was there for his employee’s. He made our call center what it is. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. RCCL will not be the same without him!! He will be greatly missed but never ever forgotten.
We are all saddened by Mike’s passing. I will never forget how nice he was to EVERYONE he met. I first met you in the seventh grade and we danced to Joy to the World by Three Dog Night at the 7th grade Christmas party. I was so happy that someone actually asked me to dance! So happy I got to see you at the 30th high school reunion in 2010. We will miss you Mike. RIP.
Mike made working at RCCL fun instead of it just being a job. He was the best director anyone could have. He will be truly missed by all of us at RCCL.
A time too soon for Such a wonderful person! The Legacy he leaves with all of us will continue to shine through all of us. A great Manager, sincere Friend & fantasic guy all around is what I will keep in my heart forever. He will be missed completely and loved forever! For his family- my heart weighs heavily with yours; for his friends- he leaves us with a great perspective of life; for everyone that had the wondeful chance to meet Mike- he will continue to send a welcoming smile for all!
It is so hard to put into words how much I loved Mikey and appreciated his sense of humor. Such a kind and loving boss and friend. He could make me laugh and he loved the fact that he introduced me to Thai food! My prayers go out to his family and all his friends. His genuine love and caring heart for all and that smile will forever remain in my heart. Love you Mikey
Mike made RCCL Wichita what it is today! He made it fun to work there. When I moved on to my career choice I never forgot about him, he is one of the reasons I have aspired to better myself and reach my goals. His best quote was ‘Always treat your employees as if they could be your boss tomorrow’. So True! Thank you Mike for making me see that I could do more.
My dear friend Mike. I am truely blessed to have had you in my life. You have always held a special place in my heart. You were a wonderful friend as well as a fantastic son, brother, & uncle; sure to be missed by all. I will always cherish the great memories we had together. You had the biggest heart & such an infectious smile to go along with your super personality. Though you were on this earth a short 50 years you made this world a better place. I’m so sadden by your passing. My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family!
My heart is heavy and broken, you were taken much to soon from us my sweetie!! You had the heart of a Lion and the ease of a lamb, you gave more than you ever expected back and you my dear freind will be missed. Heaven surely welcomed home a wonderful servant and child to rest.
