ARLINGTON -- Michael Ray Cooney, 70, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Arlington.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Southside Church of Christ, Fort Worth. Interment to follow at Emerald Hills Cemetery, Kennedale. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington.

Mike graduated from John Peter Smith School of Nursing in 1972 and Wichita Falls School of Anesthesia in 1975 and practiced anesthesia for over 30 years in the Tarrant County area. Mike was a very devoted husband and father and enjoyed golfing and woodworking in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by Otis Cooney, Velma Cooney and Jane Mobley.
Survived by his wife of 45 years, Vikki; his sons, Chad Cooney and wife Chelsea, and Tyler Cooney; Daughter, Ashley Cooney; Grandchildren, Avery Mae, and Jack Michael Cooney; Brother-in-law, Bill Mobley; Sister-in-law, Sarah, Schard; Nephew, Will Ligon; Nieces, Wendy Day, Whitney McMullin, Marcia Brickman, Sherry Wells, and Jan Mobley.

Daniel Webster can not define and I can not convey in words what an absolute joy it was for me to have known Mike. It was a true blessing.
