Michael Earle Webb

October 22, 1946 — November 16, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Earle Webb, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, and friend to many. Michael peacefully left this world on November 16, 2023, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories.

Born on October 22, 1946, Michael lived a life filled with purpose and adventure. As a young man, he proudly served his country as a submariner in the US Navy. His dedication to his country led him to serve as a yeoman to the Office of the Admiral in Pearl Harbor COMSUBFLT5 and COMSUBRON7. Michael’s commitment to his fellow servicemen extended beyond his active duty, as he continued his service in the US Naval Reserves after utilizing his G.I. Bill.

A “plank-owner” on the USS Queen Fish, Michael played an integral role in its maiden voyage. He often regaled his loved ones with stories of his time based in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor and the camaraderie he formed with his fellow sailors. While stationed there, his son was born, he filled-in desk duty at Walston & Company, a stock brokerage firm, and he and Ronda managed a Waikiki apartment complex for service personnel. After his naval career, Michael embarked on a successful 35-year journey as a real estate broker, commercial and residential general contractor, investing and improving and financing existing real estate, while serving his community since the 1980s. Known for his genuine care and dedication, he made a lasting impact on countless individuals and families.

Michael’s civic-minded nature shone through as he actively participated in community initiatives. He was a proud Rotary Fellow and enthusiastically lent his support to projects such as “Christmas in April” and Kiva Shrine Hospitals. After relocating to DFW Metroplex, his involvement in the Prestonwood Baptist Church as a member and usher brought him great joy, allowing him to deepen his faith and connect with others who shared his values.

Above all else, Michael was a devoted family man. He was blessed to have married his high school sweetheart, Ronda Posey Webb, and together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Their love and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew them. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael “Todd” Webb who together with Todd’s wife Jami, brought his much-loved grandchildren, Sierra Owens and husband, Chase Sr. and Eric Miller. Michael found great joy in being a great-grandfather to beautiful souls Chase, Jr., Brooklyn, and Briana, to carry forward the love he so fully demonstrated. Michael also treasured the close relationship he shared with his two nephews, Jay and Reny Laughlin, and dear lifetime friend Kerry Stephenson. Michael was also blessed by a close and ongoing fellowship with his Bonus Family who adopted him. (It’s a Wonderful Thing)

As Michael crossed paths with others, he was known to tell heart-warming stories about meeting Ronda for the first time in Mrs. Smith’s English class, the joy he had as a kid riding his Shetland pony, and the great love in living and working as a teen on a Colorado Dude Ranch which was the basis for his reputation as a “Horse Trader.”

Though Michael’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. We take solace in knowing that he lived a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. As we remember this remarkable man, let us celebrate his life and the impact he made on all who had the privilege to know him.

The memorial services and ceremonies in honor of Michael Earle Webb will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share their fond memories of Michael currently.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Michael’s name to Prestonwood Baptist Church, as a testament to his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Forever remembered, forever missed, but never forgotten. Let us all carry-on Michael’s legacy by embracing the values he held dear and spreading kindness, love, and compassion to all.
